(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Basketball Team defeated visiting College of the Canyons, 93-84, to move on to fourth round playoff action. The number three ranked Mounties (26-3) will now host number ten ranked San Bernardino Valley College (22-8) on Saturday, March 9th at 5:30 pm. The Wolverines defeated #15 ranked Mt. San Jacinto College, 58-56 in the third round. The winner of this contest will advance to the 4 team (2 North, 2 South) State Championships to be held at Consumnes River College (Sacramento, CA) on March 15th and 17th, 2013.
Last night, Mt. SAC held off a tough College of the Canyons. Garret Nevels led the Mounties with 28, 10 rebounds and 5 steals. Corey Allen also had a terrific night, scoring 27 points with 6 rebounds, 7assists and 3 steals.
Tickets for this Saturday's playoff game can be purchased at the door and are $8 for adults and $5 for Students (with ID), Children (5-12), Seniors (55 and better) and Staff (with ID).
