(Santa Barbara, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Basketball captured the 2012 Santa Barbara College Basketball Tournament with wins over Bakerfield College (76-64), Pasadena City College (79-66) and Allan Hancock College (83-76). Corey Allen led the Mounties with 75 points in three games, followed closely by Garrett Nevels who had 61 points.
The Mounties are now ranked #4 in the State and #2 in Southern California. Since losing the second game of the season to then #1 Fresno City College by one point (69-68) the team has crushed opponents with an average winning point margin of 13.3 points.
The Mounties will next take on cross town rival, Citrus College at home, on Monday, December 17th at 5:00 pm.
