(Yorba Linda, CA) The #3 seeded Mt. SAC Football (9-2) Team handily defeated #2 seed, Fullerton College, 44-14, in the Southern California Bowl, which was held at Yorba Linda High School. The Mounties will advance to the Southern California Championship Game for a shot a the CCCAA State Championship Game against rival and #1 seed, Riverside City College.
Earlier this season in Northern Division Central Conference Play, RCC defeated the Mounties, 28-24, at RCC. Despite leading 24-13 in the 3rd quarter, the Mounties gave up 2 touchdowns ( 2pt. PAT both failed) and a field goal in the last 17 minutes of the game.
Mt. SAC will travel back to Riverside City College for redemption in the Southern California Championship Game. Game time is 6 pm, with the winner hosting the State Championship Game on December 13th.
