Mt. SAC Baseball blanks Victor Valley to win second straight

(Walnut, CA) Host Mt. San Antonio College (2-0) remained unbeaten in the young season with a 6-0 win over Victor Valley College (0-1) on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Travis Hobbensiefken (2-4, R, 3B), Damien Delgadillo (1-2, 2 RBI), and Jose Marquez (1-1, 2 RBI) helped spark the Mounties' offense. On the basepaths, Michael Flores stole two bases as teammate Joel Quemada stole one in the winning effort.

Starting pitcher Ray Northey (1-0) earned the win for Mt. SAC, pitching four innings of shutout ball while striking out five.

Next up, San Bernardino Valley College (1-1) rolls into town for a non-conference game at Mt. SAC on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m.
