(Long Beach, CA) Down 4-1 to host Long Beach City College (16-3, 7-0), Mt. SAC (11-7, 2-5) rallied with two runs in the top of the ninth, but came up short, 4-3, in a South Coast Conference game on Tuesday, March 3.
Top Mountie players included Omar Veloz (2-4, RBI, 2B), Caleb Ellis (1-3, R), Kenny Garcia (1-1, R), Albert Luevano (1-4, RBI, R, 3B), and Cole Jordan (1-4, RBI).
Starter Tyler Frazier (2-2) got the loss, pitching four innings, and striking out two.
Mt. SAC and the Vikings will face off again in Walnut on Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m., and then will conclude their three-game series in Long Beach on Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m.
