Mt. SAC Baseball Drops SCC Opener to El Camino

(Walnut, CA) In both teams' South Coast Conference opener, El Camino College (7-5, 1-0) defeated host Mt. SAC, 5-2, on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Connor Bartholomew went 3-for-4 with a double and stolen base for the Mounties (9-3, 0-1), driving in the team's only two runs. Nick Lugo (2-3) also had a good game at the plate and Cole Jordan and Cameron White each scored a run.

Mt. SAC starting pitcher Tyler Frazier (2-1) got his first loss of the season, giving up four runs while striking out two in 4.2 innings. Zack Bromstead led the team with three strikeouts in one inning of relief.

The Mounties and Warriors will face off again on Thursday, Feb. 20, at El Camino at 2 p.m., then will conclude their three-game series at Mt. SAC on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 12 p.m.
