Mounties Baseball Bounces Back From First Loss of Season With Big Win Over L.A. Pierce

(Walnut, CA) Visiting Los Angeles Pierce College (3-4) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, but host Mt. SAC (8-1) bounced back with five runs of its own in the bottom of the same inning. It was all Mounties from there as they got back on the winning track with a 13-4 win on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Top hitters for Mt. SAC included Cameron White (2-3, 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 2B), Tyus Santa Anna (2-4, 2 RBI, R), Cole Jordan (1-2, RBI, 2 R, 2B), Albert Luevano (1-3, 2 RBI, R), Micahel Rosales (1-1, R, 3B), and Nick Lugo (2-4, 2 RBI, R). Lugo and Fabian Moran each had a stolen base.

Starting pitcher Tyler Frazier (3-0) got the win, throwing six innings, while striking out three.

The Mounties will travel to Palm Desert for a game with College of the Desert (2-7) on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m., before returning home to host Glendale College (7-2) on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 12 p.m.
