With the bases loaded in the top of the first, Tyus Santa Anna (3-for-7, 6 RBI, 2 R, HR) homered to give the Mounties a 4-0 lead. The Owls responded with five runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to set the pace for the scoring that followed.

Trailing 11-9 with two out in the ninth, Mt. SAC pinch hitter Omar Veloz (1-for-2, 2 RBI, SB) singled home Micahel Rosales and Caleb Eills (1-for-2, R) to knot the score at 11, sending the game into extra innings. Rosales and Eills executed a double steal earlier in the inning to put both players in scoring position for Veloz.

With two outs, runners on first and second in the top of the 12th, Santa Anna singled to left, driving Albert Luevano (3-for-5, 3 R) and Michael Sandoval (2-for-6, RBI, 3 R) home following an error by Citrus' left fielder.
