(Walnut, CA) Sacramento City College (10-3) rolled to a 15-3 non-conference win over host Mt. SAC (6-9) on Saturday to sweep the three-game series that started on Thursday.
Derek Zavala (2-for-3, RBI, R, 2B), Albert Luevano (2-for-4, R), and Kyle Koontz (2-for-3, RBI, 2B) were the top offensive performers for the Mounties. Jacob Dominguez (1-for-3) also had an RBI in the losing effort.
Seven Mt. SAC pitchers made appearances, with reliever Isaac Lopez (0-1) getting the loss. Starter Christian Longoria struck out three in one inning of action.
The Mounties start their South Coast Conference schedule at home on Thursday, Feb. 28, against El Camino (10-1) at 5 p.m.
