Torrance, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Beach Volleyball Team turned up the heat and served up a clean sweep on Friday, March 20, defeating El Camino 5-0 in conference action. With the win, the Mounties improve to 12-7 overall, while the Warriors fall to 5-11.
Holding it down in the No. 1 spot, Emma Carson and Eva Fisher were simply unbeatable, cruising past Taylor Puleri and Yasmin Watanabe 21-12, 21-11.
At No. 2, Kayla Staveley and Morgan Wilson had to dig deep—literally and figuratively. After dropping a marathon first set 26-28 to Bella Ober and Laila Alarbesh, the pair rallied back, taking the next two sets 21-17 and 15-11 to keep the momentum rolling for Mt. SAC.
The No. 3 pair of Jasmyn Stampley and Bella Fairley made waves in a tight three-set battle against Ava Ober and Justine Sapitanan. They edged out the first set 21-19, slipped in the second 17-21, and then secured a nail-biting 15-13 victory.
Mayah Tiscareno and Jeanie Rhodes were solid at No. 4, taking the sets 21-13, 21-18 over Alison Ramirez and Natalia Morales.
Rounding out the day on Court 5, Bella Ross and Kacey Worcester sealed the deal, defeating Arden Templeton and Yasmine Itani 21-18, 21-13 to lock in the Mounties' sweep.

The Mounties return home on Friday, March 27 for their final night matches of the season. They'll take on Cerritos and Rio Hondo in conference play starting at 5:00 PM.
