Tigers Take Down the Mounties

Match Notes:

 

  •    RCC returned home for a bounce-back victory over previously unbeaten Mount San Antonio College from the South Coast Conference.
  •          Freshman Eliott Moreno started the Tigers off again, with a dominating performance in the #6 spot, 6-1, 6-2.
  •          Sophomores Aliaksandr Pesniak and Jordan Gobatie kept the Tigers rolling, dominating the #1 and #2 spots.
  •          After a strong first set, freshman Danny Garcia battled to hold the #3 spot 6-2, 7-5.
  •          Sophomore Gustavo Carvalho sealed the victory for the Tigers, putting the Tigers up 5-0.
  •          Sophomore workhorse Ulises Banos, the Pride of Corona and Jose Nino, kept the Tigers perfect in singles with an amazing comeback win at the #5 singles position.
  •          The Tigers finished singles 6-0.
  •          In doubles, the freshman tandem of Garcia and Moreno put together the strongest performance at #2, winning 8-1.
  •          RCC now looks forward to their first Orange Empire Conference matchup at Cypress College on Thursday, February 14th (2:00).
