The Cerritos College women's tennis team suffered their fourth loss in a row, as they dropped a 7-2 South Coast Conference decision against Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday. The setback put the team's record at 7-11 overall and 2-5 in conference play with two matches remaining. The Falcons will now travel to Long Beach City College for a 2:00 p.m. meeting with Long Beach City College.

Aside from a forfeit by the Mounties in one of the doubles matches, the only Cerritos player to record a win was sophomore Cyd Dionson (Western HS), who handed Elaine Chan a three-set loss, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7. In the other five matches, the Falcons were swept in straight sets, with freshmen Samantha Judan and Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) the only players to win as many as three games in a set. Judan dropped a 1-6, 3-6 decision in the #1 position, while Perez was defeated, 3-6, 0-6 in the #5 spot.

In doubles play, freshman Jessica Alcayde (Cabrillo HS) and sophomore Patricia Espinosa (El Rancho HS/Hope International University) lost, 8-4, while Perez and Dionson were defeated, 8-3.
