With their 9-0 South Coast Conference loss to host Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday, the Cerritos College women's tennis team dropped to 1-3 in conference play and 6-6 overall. The Falcons will now host Long Beach City College at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Playing without injured #1 singles player Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS), the Falcons were forced to forfeit a singles point, as well as a doubles point. It forced all of the players to move up one spot in the ladder, and Cerritos was unable to keep up with the Mounties. 

Freshman Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) played her first match of the season in the #1 position and dropped a 3-6, 0-6 decision, while sophomore Cyd Dionson (Western HS) played a strong first set against Alvenna Lee in the first set of their #2 position, but wound up dropping a 4-6, 2-6 decision.

Dionson teamed with freshman Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) to play in the #1 doubles spot and played a strong match against Lee and Elaine Chen, but came up short in a 6-7(4), 2-6 score, while the other doubles team won just one game.
