Long Beach falls 9-0 at home vs. Mt. San Antonio

The Long Beach City College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 South Coast Conference match to visiting Mt. San Antonio College on Thursday. With the loss, the Vikings fell to 1-3 overall and in SCC play.

LBCC's best chance at a win came at No. 3 singles. Freshman Marianne Tigas pushed Mt. SAC's Heather Mac to a 7-6 decision in their opening set. Tigas then dropped a narrow 6-4 second set.

At No. 1 doubles, freshmen Judith Aguilar and Dolores Cervantez scored two points in an 8-2 loss to the Mounties' Mariel Bautista and Kristen Canones.

Long Beach returns to action on Tuesday (Mar 4) when it travels to El Camino College for a 2 pm SCC match.
