Coach Victor Estrada returns for his 3rd season as a cross country/track & field assistant coach. Before arriving at Mt. SAC, Estrada served as an assistant coach at Fullerton College for one year. Prior to Fullerton College, Estrada was a volunteer assistant coach for five seasons at his alma mater, Cal State Fullerton.
A native of Mexico, Estrada was born into a family of cycling enthusiasts, where sports and going for a bike ride were always part of the daily ritual; however, after several falls, Estrada decided to take up running. In high school, he competed in five different sports (soccer, cross country, track and field, kick boxing and cycling), but focused on cross country and track & field in college.
Estrada received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton. Estrada possesses USATF Level-1 Certification and is currently training for his first triathlon.
