Coach Tay Hester enters her 1st year on the Mt. SAC Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff. 

Hester, a former Mountie Team Captain, was a member of the 2007 California Community College State Championship Team where she was the state tournament MVP.

She transferred to the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) where she helped lead the Cornhuskers to the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament and the NIT Post Season Tournament.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2009, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology.

Hester began her coaching career in 2010 with her former AAU Team, the West Coast Premier, working with the high school girls team in the summer.  She also coached from 2010-2012 at St. Genevieve High School (Los Angeles, CA), where she was a varsity girls assistant coach and JV girls head coach.
