Isaac Carter joined the Mt. SAC Family in the Summer of 2018 and will serve as Defensive Coordinator for the Football Program and as a full-time Professor of Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance. 

Prior to Mt. SAC, Carter served as the Defensive Coordinator at the Colorado School of Mines (NCAA DII), in Golden Colorado, from 2015-2017.  During his time with the Orediggers, he helped lead them to a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship and developed a number of all-conference selections.   

Carter has previously served at Summit Christian School (West Palm Beach, FL) as Head Football/Head Track & Field/Director of Athletics, Princeton University as Assistant Defensive Backs Coach, Las Vegas Locomotive (UFL) as Secondary Coach, Whittier College as Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach and New Mexico Highlands as the Defensive Backs, Pass Defense, Special Teams and Strength Conditioning Coach.

Carter played for the Cowboys of New Mexico Highlands University, where he was a four-time All-Rocky Mountain Conference Selection.

He is a graduate of New Mexico Highlands University where he received his bachelor’s degree in human performance and his master’s degree in sports administration.
