Former Mountie Great Adam Bianchessi returned back to Mt. SAC to help guide the Mt. SAC Javelin Throwers in 2016.

In 2018, Bianchessi guided four of his student-athletes to the CCCAA State Championships where they scored a combined 22 points (women's runner-up, men's runner up and men's third place finisher).

Bianchessi still holds the college javelin record at 218-00 (66.46M), a feat he accomplished when he captured the 2011 California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA)State Championship Title.  His mark was the furthest community college throw in the nation that season and also crowned him the national community college champion.  Bianchessi finished the season undefeated in community college competition and captured numerous accolades including South Conference (SCC) Athlete of the Meet, SCC Field Event Athlete of the Year, CCCAA State Athlete of the Month (May 2011) and Mt. SAC Fall Athlete of the Year.

During his freshman season, in 2010, Bianchessi placed 4th at the 2010 CCCAA State Championships and 9th at the USA Track and Field Junior Nationals.

Bianchessi's story is even more remarkable considering that he did not compete in any organized sport until his arrival at Mt. SAC in the fall of 2009, where he began as a sprinter.  After switching over to the Javelin, the rest was history.

Bianchessi earned an athletic scholarship and continued his education at Long Beach State University, where he upped his personal best to 243-00 (74.06M).

He received his Bachelors Degree in History at Long Beach State University and his Masters Degree in Education, from Hope International University.

He currently is a full-time teacher at Southridge Middle School in Fontana (CA) where he teaches language arts and social studies.

Bianchessi is single and resides in Upland.  He enjoys the outdoors and is an avid camper, hiker, fisherman and hunter.
