Elva Salcido began her Athletic Training Career at Mt. SAC in the Fall of 2015 as a permanent part-time staff member and became a full-time member in the Summer of 2019.  A graduate of the Cal State Fullerton Athletic Training Program, she is no stranger to Mt. SAC Athletics, having served her clinical rotation here with Head Athletic Trainer Andy Paulin and the Mt. SAC Football Team.

Her Mt. SAC Team Duties will include the Men's and Women's Cross Country, Women's Golf, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Track & Field, and Men's Wrestling Teams.  She also serves as the Medical Director of the Mt. SAC Athletic Special Events which includes the world-renowned Mt. SAC Relays, Mt. SAC Country Invitational, and Footlocker West Regional Cross Country Championships.  She also serves in the same capacity at the National Pole Vault Summit (Reno, NV) with over 4,000 attendees including our nation's premier pole vaulters.  

Prior to arriving at Mt. SAC, Salcido worked with ATvantage Athletic Training as Head Athletic Trainer at Covina High School and as an athletic trainer at Walnut High School.

Born and raised in El Monte (CA), Salcido prepped at Mountain View High School, where she was a three-sport athlete, before transferring to Charter Oak High School for her final two high school years.  She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Cal State Fullerton and her Board of Certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association in 2014.

Salcido enjoys watching sports (especially Los Angeles Teams), going to the beach and barbecuing with family and friends in her spare time.
