Celina Felix Named CCCAA February Athlete of the Month

(Sacramento, CASophomore Celina Felix was named the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) February State Athlete of the Month.  Felix is one of the deadliest offensive players in the history of Mt. San Antonio College Softball.  In February, she batted .540 (27 for 50) with seven home runs, 26 RBI, an on base percentage of .549 and an incredible slugging percentage of 1.200. Defensively at third base, Felix was just as solid with a fielding percentage of .977 and 12 putouts.

Felix led her team to an 11-3 record, and a No.3 state ranking in February. During the first week of the 2015 season, Felix was named CCCAA State Player of the Week.  Early in the month, Felix had a banner day at the plate leading the Mounties to a win over state ranked Fullerton College, by going 3 for 4 with four RBI’s. Later in the month, Felix went 5 for 5 with four runs, and four RBI’s in a big win over Los Angeles Harbor College. Felix hails from Montclair, CA where she prepped at Montclair High School.
