(Walnut, CA) The Mounties Men's Soccer Team (13-5-3, 8-3-3) will prepare for another post season run after finishing 2nd in South Coast Conference play.  Mt. SAC (#8 Seed) will host Santa Monica College (#9 Seed) this Saturday, November 21st at 4 p.m. in the first round of the CCCAA State Soccer Playoffs.

Several Mounties also earned All Cconference accolades including Offensive Player of the Year, Jhonata Batista, Freshman, a Forward from South Hills HS (12 goals, 27 points) and Defensive Player of the Year, Ricardo Valdez, Sophomore, Defender from Roosevelt HS (Corona).

Along with Batista and Valdez, Freshman, Miguel Martinez, Defender, along with Sophomores, Michael Wolitski, Midfielder, and Goalkeeper Andy Gutierrez (70 saves), were named to the All South Coast Conference 1st Team.

Second team SCC were Sophomore Rolando Munoz, Freshmen, Michael Flores and Juan Sanchez. Honorable mention all conference went to Gabriel Silva.
