Entering his 14th year at Mt. Antonio College, Sanchez (overall coaching record 250 wins, 41 losses, 37 ties; .762 winning %), the respected and humble Head Coach of the Mounties, has turned the Men's Soccer Program into one of the premier community college soccer programs in the nation. The Mounties have advanced to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championships 10 times, played in nine consecutive state title matches and hold the CCCAA Men's Soccer State Championship consecutive win streak at four.
Under his direction, the Mounties have captured:
- Two National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Adidas National Championships (Division 3, Community College)
- Four CCCAA State Championships
- Nine South Coast Conference (SCC) Championships
Along the way, Sanchez has earned a number of personal accolades including:
- Eight SCC Men's Soccer Coach of the Year Honors
- Two SCC All-Sports Coach of the Year Honors
- Four NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year Honors
- NSCAA National Community College Coach of the Year (2012)
