(Ontario, CA) With a 71-41 win over host Chaffey College on Friday (South Coast Conference (SCCC) North Division), the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball Team is set for a showdown against conference rival East Los Angeles College (ELAC) on Wednesday.

ELAC, Pasadena City College and Mt. SAC trail Trade-Tech by a game in the SCC with 4-2 records. Trade Tech is 5-1 with four games remaining on the schedule.

The Mounties lost on a buzzer beater to ELAC three weeks ago.

In the win over Chaffey College, the Mounties jumped out to a resounding 20-8 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Mt. SAC, ranked 14th in the state and 7th in Southern California, built up a 13 point lead by halftime with a score of 36-23.

A tremendous 35-18 second half in favor of the Mounties increased the lead to 30 points, with a final score of 71-41.
