(Sacramento, CA) The defending state champion Mt. SAC Mounties Women's Basketball Program (23-7 overall, 7-3 conference, #9 state ranking) received the #2 seed in the 2018 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Playoffs. Mt. SAC will open on Saturday, February 24th at home against the winner of the Riverside City College (19-9 overall record, #15 seed) versus San Bernardino Valley College (15-12 overall record, #18 seed) game. Game time is 7:00 pm.
The Mounties ended the 2018 regular season with second place finish in the South Coast Conference (SCC), ending one of the longest conference championshp winning streaks (all sports) in state history. The Mounties had won at least a share of the each of the past 16 conference titles since 2002. L.A. Trade Tech (18-10 overall record) captured this years SCC championship and was seeded #10 in the SoCal Playoffs.
Tickets for the playoff game will be available for purchase at the door.
