(Walnut, Ca.) And the winning streak continues! For the 16th consecutive game the Mt. SAC Women's Basketball has chalked up a "W" in the win column, the latest an 85-54, victory over Rio Hondo College.
Five players scored in double figures for the Mounties, including a team-high 16 points from sophomore Kali Jones (8-11 FG, steal).
Also scoring was Aliyah Dickson (6-12 FG, 7 RB, 3 steals) with 13 points and three with 12 each – Maddy Dopplick (5-9 FG, 2-2 FT, 6 RB, 2 steals), Caira Benton (6-8 FG, 6 RB, 2 steals) and Dominique McLaughlin (5-10 FG, 5 assists, 6 steals).
As a team the Mounties out-rebounded Rio Hondo, 48-31, with Jones grabbing a game-high 12.
Mt. SAC again led with multiple bench players scoring, as five of the eight got in the scoring column.
The Mounties also took advantage of 27 Roadrunner turnovers, scoring 37 points.
Mt. SAC jumped out to a 30-10 first-quarter lead, eventually building up a 57-20 halftime lead.
