(San Diego, CA)  Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team ran away from the competition to capture the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Cross Country Championships.  The Mounties scored 82 points to outdistance themselves from runner-up Riverside City College who scored 100 points.  Sophomore Terry Fenske was the leading runner for the Mounties.  Fenske ran 20:53 over the 4 mile course to take 7th place overall. The top five runners, reminiscent of the Women's 1995/1996 State Championship Team, ran a team time of 1:46.16 and a very tight 5 member "Mt. SAC Pack Attack" finish gap of 45 seconds.

On the women's side, the Mounties placed 6th overall with a score of 200 points and a team time of 1:41:50.  Freshman Crystal Jardines ran 19:57 and was the top finisher for Mt. SAC.

Both the men's and women's teams have qualified for and will conclude their 2015 season at the CCCAA State Cross Country Championships, to be held at Woodward Park (Fresno, CA) on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  Women's championship will start at 10:00 am and the men's championship will start at 11:00 am.
