(ERIE, PA) For the second time in two days, on the men's water polo team annual East Coast trip, this time to two Universities in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Mounties exploded for 28 goals. However, they would split the two games as they did on Saturday.

In the first game, Mt. SAC defeated NCAA Div. 2 Mercyhurst University, 15-12, in a game played at Cathedral Preparatory School. With only a ten-minute break between games, the Mounties again took on NCAA Div. 2 Gannon and  came up short for a second time in two days, 15-13.

In the morning game the Mounties were again led by sophomore Scott McDill (Walnut HS, Air Force Academy) with a game-high seven goals, followed by three goals each from Jeffrey Silverberg (Walnut HS) and Thomas Randles (Claremont HS). The three also had three steals each in the game.

The Mounties sandwiched the first and fourth periods with most of the scoring with five and six goals respectively.

Defensively, three Mounties had three steals: Silverberg, Randles and freshman attacker Alec Rivera (Chino Hills HS).

After the game the team took the hour and a half van ride to Buffalo, NY to take a flight home after the brief four-day roadie.

After the four games over the weekend, the Mounties went 2-2 and now have an overall record of 15-4. Sophomore goalie Andres Jaramillo (Montclair HS) played all four games, going 2-2.

They will play a big South Coast Conference game this Wednesday at Cerritos College. The Falcons (17-2), along with the Mounties are undefeated in the conference a game behind the Mounties (4-0) at 3-0.
