The Drive for ‘Five’ is Still Alive for a Mt. SAC Men’s Swimming & Diving SCC Title

(Walnut, CA) With only a 3.5 point deficit behind first place heading in the third and final day of the South Coast Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, the Mt. SAC Men's Team is aiming for an unprecedented fifth title.

Five individual events and one relay remain on Saturday at Mt. SAC's Marie T. Mills Aquatics Center.

The Mounties took a 10.5-point lead after the first day of competition on Thursday over El Camino College.

However, the roles were reversed after Day Two when the Warriors swam to a 505.5-502 point advantage over Mt. SAC.

Capturing individual event titles was Jason Harary in the 400 Individual Medley (4:03.23) and Ryan Lin in the 100 Breaststroke (1:00.29).

Harary also won a title on Day One in the 200 IM.

Mt. SAC also came away with a first place in the 200 Medley Relay with Harary, Lin, Alex Neoh and Zachary Justus swimming a 1:38.12.

The Mounties other relay team finished second in the 800 Free with Zachary Anaya, Spencer Chlebowski, Eric Amancio and Harary swimming a time of 7:10.09.

In the 1 Meter Diving event, Andres Jaramillo and Justus finished second and third respectively.

Other Mounties results: 200 Freestyle, Amancio (3rd); 100 Butterfly, Jason Willman (6th); 100 Breaststroke, Anaya (5th); 100 Backstroke, Cade Migallos (7th).
