Mt. SAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Conference Win Streak Reaches 54

(Walnut, CA) A phenomenal 54 consecutive South Coast Conference (SCC) dual meet winning streak dating back to the 2010 season continues, as the Mt. SAC Men's Swimming & Diving Team defeated Cerritos College, 208-67, on Friday.

Included in that streak are nine straight SCC titles, which the Mounties will be aiming to add to this season.

Mt. SAC finished first in all 12 individual events, both relays and 1-meter diving.

Leading the way for the Mounties was Jason Harary with three individual first-place finishes and was a member of the 200 Medley Relay team.

Harary took a first in the 200 Freestyle (1:53.38), 200 Butterfly (2:00.22) and the 200 Individual Medley (2:00.25).

Three other swimmers, Spencer Chlebowski, Ryan Lin and Jason Willman each had two first-place finishes.

Chlebowski won both the 100 Backstroke (57.61) and 200 Backstroke (2:07.13) and was a member of the 400 Free Relay. Lin touched the wall first in the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.97), 200 Breaststroke (2:21.80) and swam in both winning relays.

Distance swimmer Willman took home a first in the 1,000 Freestyle (10:58.93) and the 500 Free (5:22.96).

Taking home one first-place each was Zach Anaya (100 Freestyle, 51.54), Alex Neoh (100 Butterfly, 57.94) and Eric Amancio (50 Freestyle, 23.54).

Andres Jaramillo captured the 1M diving competition with a score of 198.25.

The Mounties continue conference action on Friday, March 16 with a dual meet against Pasadena City College and Rio Hondo.
