Men’s Swim Team Qualifies Five Swimmers and Five Relay Teams to CCCAA State Championships, May 4-6 at East Los Angeles College

(Walnut, CA) Fresh off of a fourth consecutive South Coast Conference Championship, the Mt. SAC Men's Swimming and Diving team qualified five athletes in individual events and five relay teams for the upcoming California Community College Athletic Association State Championships to be held at East Los Angeles College, May 4-6.
Four of the five swimmers, freshman Spencer Chlebowski, sophomore Kyle Chang, sophomore Bryan Calderon and sophomore Renen Devito will compete in three events with the fifth, freshman Andres Jaramillo, competing in both the 1 and 3 Meter diving portion of the championships.
SCC Co-Swimmer of the year Spencer Chlebowski, who recently won three individual championships at the South Coast Conference Championships, will compete in those same events – 500 Freestyle, 400 Individual Medley and the 1,650 Freestyle.
Chang, who won the 50 Freestyle SCC Championship and was a part of the champion 400 and 800 Free Relay teams, second with the 400 Medley Relay team and two individual thirds in the 200 Back and 200 Free. He also was a member of the 200 Medley Relay team. Chang, who also competed at state last year, will compete in those three individual events this year.
Calderon, who was a member of last years' 400 Medley Relay team at the State Championships, will compete individually in the 100 and 200 Breastroke, and the 200 IM this year.
Finally, Devito, who swam in three relays at last years' State Championships, will compete in his three events – 100, 200 and 500 Freestyle.
