Jaramillo, a freshman, finished fourth in Southern California in the 3 Meter diving event and was the conference runner-up (162.05). Jaramillo, who also was goalie for the Mt. SAC Water Polo team, also qualified for state in the 1 Meter placing sixth. Freshman Haley Service, in the 1 Meter event, placed eighth and was the conference champ (150 pts).
In addition to the state championships, May 4-6, both divers will both compete for their teams in the upcoming conference championships to be held at the Marie T. Mills Aquatic Center at Mt. SAC next weekend.
Going in to this weekends' conference championships, the men's team will have 107 points and the women 110 points as a result of the diving competition.
