Mountie Swimmers Fall to Diablo Valley College, 118-99

 By John M. Sherrard
(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Swimming and Diving team returned from its first road trip of the season and fell to Diablo Valley College, 118-99 Friday afternoon.
Sophomores Renen Devito and Kyle Chang had some great early-season swims as they led the way for the Mounties with first place finishes in the 100 free and 100 backstroke respectively.
"I thought the team was our strength in this meet," Mt. SAC Swimming coach Marc Ruh said. "It was a very close meet for us against one of the top teams in the state.
"The team fought hard and battled through a lot of swims in a very short time span and came away with a strong team performance. I am very encouraged by what we saw at this meet."
Devito place second in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:50.40 and Chang had a 2:03.20 time in the 200 IM.
