Mt. SAC Golf Places Fourth In Orange Empire Conference Match No. 3 at Tijeras Creek; Hochsprung Leads Mounties with 72

(Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Golf team finished fourth in the third of eight Orange Empire Conference matches Wednesday afternoon at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club at Rancho Santa Margarita.

The Mounties, who finished with one win and four losses in the six-team conference, were led by James Hochsprung with an even par score of 72. The sophomore shot his best round of the three OEC matches and was just two shots off the low round score of 70.

The Mounties other scores were: Freshman Curtis Ashton, 77 (season match low); freshman Cole Albert, 81; sophomore Jusper Braga, 82 (season match low); freshman Dylan Stone, 87.

Mt. SAC, with its team score of 399 on Wednesday, has 3 wins and 12 losses in the three matches this season for fifth place in the OEC.

Orange Coast College and Riverside City College are tied in conference with 12-3 records.

The next match for the Mounties will be the SoCal Regional Preview at El Camino Country Club in Oceanside next Monday.

The next conference match (No. 4) will be at the Victoria Golf Course in Riverside hosted by Riverside City College on Monday, March 27th.
