(San Diego, CA) After posting 17-wins and a third place finish in the South Coast Conference North, the Mt. SAC Men's Basketball team ended its season with a CCCAA So Cal Regional second-round loss to San Diego City College, 73-62, Friday night at Harry West Gym.

Freshman guard Corey Grant (8-10 FT, 2-2 3PM, 5 assists, 3 steals) and sophomore guard/forward AJ McLaurin (7-10 FG, 3-3 FT, 2 steals) led the Mounties with 18 and 17 points respectively.

McLaurin and sophomore guard Nick Brown each grabbed seven rebounds for Mt. SAC.

Midway through the first half Mountie sophomore guard Ryon O'Quinn (4-5 FG, 4-4 FT, 2 assists, 2 steals, 12 points) made a layup for their first lead of the game, 12-10.

They went on a 9-5 run to build up their biggest lead of the game, 21-15, with 5:03 left in the half.

However, that lead dwindled away by the end of the half as SDCC outscored the Mounties, 14-4, and Mt. SAC would never regain the lead the rest of the way.

The Knights outscored the Mounties, 44-37, in the second half for the 11-point win.

Freshman guard Josh Johnson (4-7 FG, 5 RB) added eight points for the Mounties.
