The Mt. SAC Baseball Team (28-11) won two games Saturday to advance to the Super Regionals in the California Community College State Championships. The #5 seeded Mounties won the first game 8-0, Jerry Flores pitched a complete game, 4-hit shutout to force a third and deciding game.

Cameron Pongs pitched 8 strong innings allowing only 1 run on 3 hits. Mt. SAC out scored the visiting Eagles 18-3 on the day.

The Mounties will travel to Saddleback College on Friday to play Cypress College in the first game of the Super Regional. The winner of the Super Regional will advance to the State Championships in Fresno.
