Maiya Michel enters into her first season on the Mt. SAC Basketball Staff. Michel played four years at the University of Denver, receiving Western Athletic Conference All-Defensive Team honors, before transitioning into the role of a collegiate assistant coach.  Michel brings three seasons of coaching experience with the University of La Verne Women’s Basketball Program and her extensive playing experience to the Mounties.

Michel holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Digital Media Studies and a Masters of Business Administration Degree in Sports Management. During the off season, Michel works for Cal Swish Basketball as a 17U head coach. She has a strong background in player development and looks forward to helping Mt. SAC Student-Athletes grow athletically and academically.
