Danielle Diaz is currently the Assistant Coach for women's beach volleyball. On March 2, 2020, she was appointed as the Head Coach of the Mt SAC Women's Beach Volleyball Team, following a two-month tenure as the Interim Head Coach. Beginning in 2018, Diaz served as Assistant Coach for the Inaugural Beach Volleyball Team, a team that she had an integral part in establishing. She has also assisted the Women’s Indoor Volleyball team since 2017 and has been an Adjunct Professor of Kinesiology since 2019.

In 2023, Diaz led her team to finish with the best conference and overall record in program history. Mounties earned the first-ever South Coast Conference Championship (SCC) title in Mt. SAC beach history, with an undefeated record of 8-0, and finished with an overall record of 23-2 (.920). The team made it to the SoCal Regional Playoffs after being ranked #3 in the state. In addition, three out of the five pairs qualified for the CCCAA Regional Pairs Tournament. Two out of those three pairs qualified to the CCCAA Beach Volleyball Pairs State Championship for the first time in program history, with one pair ending the season in the top 10. Nine team members were selected on the All-South Coast Conference team and Coach Diaz was named 2023 South Coast Conference Coach of the Year. 

Prior to Mt. SAC, Diaz coached for 3 years with Club Green Volleyball out of La Habra (CA). In 2016, she coached at Whittier Christian High School where she served as Head Coach for the Girl’s Frosh/Soph Volleyball team and in 2017, coached the Boy’s Junior Varsity Volleyball team while also running their strength and conditioning program. During her tenure at Whittier Christian, Diaz led the Frosh/Soph team to an undefeated season and both teams to League Championships.

Diaz is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 2017. She received her Master of Science Degree in Coaching and Exercise Science from Concordia University in 2019.
