Brian Crichlow enters his 12th season (2021-2022 season) leading the powerful Mt. San Antonio College Women’s Basketball Program with an incredible head coaching record of 292 wins and 40 losses (.879 winning percentage).  Last season (2020-2021) was totally cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic.  During the 2019-2020 season, the Mounties (23-7) were poised for another run for the state championship however, the season was abruptly ended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, after advancing to the state championships for the 8th time under Crichlow.  

During his tenure he has led the Mounties to 8 South Coast Conference Championships (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020), 6 California Community College Final Four appearances (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), 2 California Community College Runner-Ups (2014, 2015), and 4 California Community College State Championships (2012, 2013, 2016, 2017). Crichlow has been named the South Coast Coach of the Year in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2020, SCC All-Sports Coach of the Year in 2016 and the State Coach of the Year in 2011.

Prior to taking over as head coach, Crichlow spent 11 years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for then head coach, Laura Beeman, where he helped lead the Mounties to 4 California Community College State Championships (04, 06, 07, 08), 9 California Community College Elite 8 appearances and 10 South Coast Conference Championships.

Crichlow began his coaching career at his alma mater, Pomona High School, where he was a 3-sport athlete (Football, Basketball, and Tennis).  During his tenure at Pomona High School, he served as the Boy’s Freshman and Junior Varsity Coach, Girls’ Varsity Basketball Head Coach, Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls’ Tennis Coach, and the Boys’ Varsity Tennis Coach. In his two seasons as the Girls’ Basketball coach, his team compiled a 35-19 record, captured 2 Miramonte League titles and advanced to the CIF Semi-final in 1998. He was also named Miramonte League Coach of the Year in 1998.

Aside from coaching at Mt. SAC, Crichlow serves as Director of the West Coast Premier Basketball Academy, a travel ball team/program he established in 2007. West Coast Premier is one of 32 Nike sponsored travel ball organizations throughout the country and houses some of the best high school girls basketball players on the West coast.

Crichlow is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Phi Lambda Chapter, where he works actively in the community through Blood Drives, Voter Registration’s, Literacy Programs, Habitat for Humanity and Scholarship programs promoting academic excellence for high school students aspiring to go to college.

Crichlow, a Pomona native received his Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from Mt. San Antonio College in 2000, his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of La Verne in 2007 and his Master's of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University in 2013. Crichlow is a full-time Professor of Kinesiology at Mt. San Antonio College.

Crichlow and his wife, Leshea reside in Rialto with their three children- Brishea, Brianna and Xavier.
