Shane Poulter has been part of the Mt. SAC Family since 1997, serving as an Educational Advisor. In 2007, he was named Academic Counselor for Student/Athletes.

 As an Educational Advisor, Poulter was awarded “Educator of Distinction” for six consecutive years. Before arriving at Mt. SAC he served as a teacher in the Rowland Unified School District for two years.

He enjoys the challenges of his position and the unique privilege and opportunity to work with students from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.  

As past Vice President of the California Community College Counselors/Advisors Academic Association for Athletics (3C4A), he remains actively engaged in the organization and continues to make positive changes for our student athletes.

Shane Poulter received his A.A. Degree from Mt. SAC, Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science from Cal Poly Pomona and master's degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Poulter and his beautiful wife Yolie reside in Chino Hills with their three daughters, Tessa, Siena, Chloe and two labradoodles.  Along with spending time with his family, he enjoys attending Mt. SAC Athletics Events and serving as announcer for a few games throughout the season.  

After twenty-three years of working at Mt. San Antonio College, he is convinced that Mt. SAC is a premier community college and is extremely proud to call Mt. SAC his second home.  "Go Mounties!!"
