Brian Crichlow and Juan Sanchez Named SCC All-Sports Coaches of the Year

(Cerritos, CA) At the 2013 South Coast Conference (SCC) Meeting, Women's Head Basketball Coach, Brian Crichlow was named SCC Women's All-Sports Coach of the Year, while Men's Head Soccer Coach, Juan Sanchez, was named SCC Men's All-Sports Coach of the Year.  

Crichlow, in only his third year as Head Coach, lead the Mountie Women's Basketball Team to their second consecutive state championship, third consecutive conference championship and an amazing undefeated record of 34-0 (16-0 in conference).  Under his direction, Morgan Mason (SO, Guard) captured SCC and All-State So Cal Player of the Year Honors. 

Sanchez lead the Men's Soccer Team to an unprecedented 4th consecutive state and conference championship last season (21-3-1 record).  The team finished the season as the #2 ranked team in the nation (National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division 3 Community College Division), while Sanchez was named the NSCAA National Community College Men's Soccer Coach of the Year.  Three of his players were named to the NSCAA All-American Team.

The South Coast Conference (SCC) is arguably the toughest community college athletics conference in the nation.  The SCC is comprised of Cerritos College, El Camino Compton Education Center, East Los Angeles College, El Camino College, Long Beach City College, Los Angeles Harbor College, Los Angeles Southwest College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Mt. SAC and Pasadena City College and hosts 17 different sports.
